The purpose of the Gloucester Clean Community Committee is to work in an advisory capacity on matters related to litter prevention and cleanup programs, recycling, solid waste management and beautification efforts throughout Gloucester County. The Committee is comprised of residents of Gloucester County who are appointed by the Gloucester County Board of Supervisors to serve for a term of 2 years.
The program is administered by a Clean Community Coordinator and supported by hundreds of Gloucester residents and businesses who give generously of their time to help keep the County of Gloucester beautiful, clean, and litter free. For information on recent and past activities of the Clean Community Committee, please refer to the Clean Community Committee's meeting minutes available on the County's Meetings and Minutes Portal.

What We Do
The Clean Community Program promotes recycling by providing information on what is and what is not recyclable in the county; helps to coordinate the Adopt-a-Spot and Adopt-a-Highway program; and assists residents, community groups, schools, civic organizations, and others in conducting clean up and beautification events. The Clean Community program educates children and adults on recycling, conservation, and "going green" issues. The Clean Community Office conducts community outreach education programs in schools, for church groups and civic organizations, and at expos and special events.
